We originally met the Khan family last winter season when they visited Vail from Chicago over holiday break. We had such a blast with them, roaming the cobblestone streets of Vail Village together, before taking a hot chocolate break and heading up the Eagle Bahn Gondola to get those super scenic views that the top of Vail Mountain has to offer. Much to our delight, the Khan family planned another Colorado getaway to Aspen just before school started for their kids. Unfortunately, Colorado had a terrible wildfire season this summer and the smoke levels were pretty bad. Thankfully, the visibility during our session was good enough to see the gorgeous views that Aspen has to offer. We spent the evening laughing and adventuring around North Star Nature Preserve, just at the bottom of Independence Pass. You’ll see there is a beautiful mixture of tall grass (something that can be surprisingly hard to find at high altitude in the Rocky Mountains!), aspen trees, mountain views, and even a river bed!
The Khans are always such a delight and we can’t wait to see them back again on their next Colorado family vacation!
